In context: « 21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.”
23 But He answered her not a word.
And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”
24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”
26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. »
Why this name (greatisyour.faith)?
For a long time, I have been wanting to spread the gospel online more. It is difficult to find something biblical, short enough and easy to remember. This verse always stuck with me, as we are saved by faith and by faith we keep running the race. At first I wanted something from the end of Matthew 11, but did not really find something short and easy to remember, and catchy enough.
Why this website?
A while ago, I started filling a notebook with Bible verses, sorting theme by theme, as I read the Bible. I ended up having writing quite a few verses.
Lately, a very good friend going through difficult times asked me to pray for her. I went through my notebook and started sending verses from time to time, which is how I got this idea, make a website about this, so when people need it, they can look up any theme and find Bible verses about it to lift them up and strengthen them.
Also, for a long time, I wanted to serve God better, spread the gospel more, and this is one more occasion to do it.
My goal
With time, I am hoping to have transferred all the verses in my notebook into this site, and some more. As I read the Bible, I will continue to add more.
I am also planning to get this translated in Spanish, French, German and Mandarin, and all more languages I get the opportunity to translate this into.
